1.The examination rating system for domestic banks is one of the risk-based examination mechanism. The rating system clarifies the degree of banks’ compliance with supervisory concerns.


2.Through the rating system, the FSC evaluates financial soundness, regulatory compliance, consumer protection and risk management of domestic banks and then assigns a rating grade (from 5 scales). The FSC will adopt appropriate supervisory measures according to those rating results.
