（2）Onshore FINIs: 1 application was registered from Aug. 1, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2020.

（3）QDIIs: 0 application was registered from Aug.1, 2020 to Aug.31, 2020. According to the Regulations Governing Securities Investment and Futures Trading in Taiwan by Mainland Area Investors, mainland area investors (QDIIs) that engage in securities investment or futures trading in Taiwan are limited to qualified institutional investors approved by the competent authority of banking, insurance or securities for the mainland area.

（4）As of Aug. 31, 2020, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FINIs was about US$197.51 billion, and QDIIs was about US$119 million.

2. Foreign Individual Investors’ (FIDI) Investment in the Securities Markets

（1）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2020, all foreign investors bought NT$7,595.28 billion, and sold NT$8,264.40 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$669.12 billion.

（2）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2020, QDIIs bought NT$14.02 billion, and sold NT$16.00 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$1.98 billion.

5. Foreign Portfolio Investment in Taipei Exchange (TPEX) Shares

（1）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2020, all foreign investors bought NT$855.50 billion, and sold NT$875.31 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$19.81 billion.
