（1）Offshore FINIs: 49 applications were registered from Apr. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020.

（2）Onshore FINIs: 3 applications were registered from Apr. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020.

（3）QDIIs: 2 applications were registered from Apr. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020. According to the Regulations Governing Securities Investment and Futures Trading in Taiwan by Mainland Area Investors, mainland area investors (QDIIs) that engage in securities investment or futures trading in Taiwan are limited to qualified institutional investors approved by the competent authority of banking, insurance or securities for the mainland area.

（4） As of Apr. 30, 2020, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FINIs was about US$199.74 billion, and QDIIs was about US$176 million.

2. Foreign Individual Investors’ (FIDI) Investment in the Securities Markets

（1）Offshore FIDIs: 1 application was registered from Apr. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020.

（2）Onshore FIDIs: 182 applications were registered from Apr. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020.

（3）As of Apr. 30, 2020, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FIDIs totaled about US$251 million.

3. As of Apr. 30, 2020, cumulative net inward-remittance from offshore FINIs, QDIIs and offshore FIDIs totaled about US$200.17 billion.

4. Foreign Portfolio Investment in Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) Shares

（1）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020, all foreign investors bought NT$3,190.95 billion, and sold NT$3,707.55 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$516.60 billion.

（2）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020, QDIIs bought NT$4.86 billion, and sold NT$4.67 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-buy of NT$0.19 billion.

5. Foreign Portfolio Investment in Taipei Exchange (TPEX) Shares

（1）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020, all foreign investors bought NT$330.00 billion, and sold NT$342.10 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$12.10 billion.

（2）Cumulatively from Jan. 1, 2020 to Apr. 30, 2020, QDIIs bought NT$1.20 billion, and sold NT$1.94 billion of stocks, amounting to a net-sell of NT$0.74 billion.
