In order to improve the implementation of cyber security in banking sector, the FSC held a colloquium for directors of department of information security and information technology of 36 domestic banks and Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd on December 13, 2019 to strengthen the understanding of cyber security risk and defense mechanism.

The topics of the session included current situation of financial Information Security, financial united defense and collaboration network, and information security supervision focus on domestic banks. In addition, recent information security incidents and primary examination findings were also shared with all participants. It allowed financial institutions to gain a better understanding about the supervisory concerns, root cause of deficiencies, and better practice to harden their information security systems.
